Quilts distribution in Tadamon Office

On New Year's Eve, December 31st, 2015, Shams October Rotary Club distributed quilts donated by Rotary District 2451 Community Service Committee to families identified by Tadamon (Social Solidarity) office, Sadess b in 6th of October City.
This initiative was very much appreciated by the families.
Special thanks to our district 2451 Community Service Committee for all their good work.

Breast Awareness Campaign in Al Awla Bel Reaaya at 6 October City

Our Rotary Club October Shams has organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in collabora-tion with Ministry of Health (Egypt's National Health Screening Program) for women ages 35 and above in Al Awla Bel Reaaya, 6 th of October City.
The day started with a lecture including slide show for breast self examination and alarming signs of breast cancer changes and ended with performing mammograms.

Sabeel installation in Al Awla bel Raaya

Meanwhile during the Awareness Campaign, a Sabeel ( free tap water dispenser) was installed in the Medical Unit in Al Awla Bel Reaaya to provide clean water supply to patients and visitors.

Visit to sponsored literacy classes in Aboul Nomros

Mai Mandour’s visit to our Literacy classes in Aboul Nomros on December 8th. The visit was to see the level they had reached and to make sure learners were attending well and had no problems.

Blood Donation Drive at Arkan Mall in Zayed City, Guiza

On November 20th our club held its second blood donation drive as part of the district relief campaign. Arkan was the place and 34 bags were donated.

Supporting Blood Donation Marathon at MUST University

Early same day, we took part in supporting MUST university in their blood drive for the Mer-morial Soad Kaffaffi University hospital. Our club members participated in the marathon and had a chance to meet the famous conductor Selim Sahab and the actors Nihal Anbar and Ay-man.
