Our fellow club member, PDG Mohamed Delawer completed 4 days Rotary Peace Fellows committee meeting in Evanston, Chicago..Out of 442 eligible candidates worldwide to win a Rotary peace scholarship, 50 wereselected and among them an Egyptian, Mohamed Metwali who will study for two years at Queen’s University in Australia as a Rotary Peace Scholar.

Rotary International District 2451 Egypt organized a Multi District Membership Seminar from September 29th till October 1st. Representatives from Lebanon, Bahrain, UAE, Cyprus and Jordan participated representing D 2452. We were honored with the presence of RID Corneliu Dinca who attended on behalf of Rotary International. The conference started with an elegant one thousand and one Arabian Rotarian Nights dinner at historical Prince Taz palace.

Egyptian Olympic Taekwondo champion Hedaya Ahmed Malak gold medalist in the African Taekwondo Championship, who reach London Olympics 2012 and then Rio Di Janeiro 2016 where she won a bronze medal That's the biography our 21 years old Egyptian champ presented in our club meeting.

RC of 6th of October Shams together with RC of 6th of October and RC of 6th of October Zayed joined to host the presentation given by PP Iman El Ghamrawy, Literacy Committee Chair, D-2451
Iman presented the literacy projects supported by D-2451 for the Rotary year 2016- 2017,the different partners and NGOs the literacy projects including the main one Vodafone , and she also elaborated on the role of the Literacy Committee explaining the CLE system used in the Literacy classes and how to start a class in a community area.
