Rotary Club of 6th of October Shams
Rooftop Planting Project in Istabl Antar
Our new community service project - the roof top planting project- in Istabl Antar in collaboration with the NGO Tawasol >
Our RC of 6th of October Shams making the prototype table that will be used by upcycling old wood palettes which will be manufactured in the Tawasol carpentry workshop. We will be arranging for the soil and seeds and will be providing training sessions on the planting method for the beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries will be using the crops for their own needs or selling them and using the profit enabling them to plant new crops.

Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar
On the occasion of Mothers day our RC October Shams club organized an awareness seminar on early detection of breast cancer and how women can self examine. Due to the large number of women interested to participate in the sessions, the planned one session became two and 110 women, today, have the means to protect themselves by self examination for early detection of this curable disease.

Signature Project, Clothes Fair at Kasr El Ainy
3 days of hard work at the Kasr El Ainy clothes fair. The workers we were targeting were really happy to buy great clothes at amazing prices and asked us to make another fair soon. The proceeds of the project will be directed to other community service projects.
