Rotary Club of 6th of October Shams
Ramadan Bags for the Needy .
Feeling for the community and meeting their needs is part of Rotarians dedication to serving humanity. In the blessed month of Ramadan, our club responded to the need for nutrition aid by assembling and donating 500 bags of dry foodstuffs to identified needy families. The giving was done at the Social Solidarity offices at 6 October City and was very well organized and well appreciated by the beneficiaries.

Multi Discipline Medical Convoy to Tafahna El Azab
A medical convoy of 7 different specialities was organized by our club to Gharbia Governorate; Tafahna ElAzab village at the Sakkout Development Center, to deliver high quality medical service to more than 400 patients. An equipped caravan for female reproductive health and gynacologic examination was provided .Consultants of Internal medicine, tropical medicine, and orthopedics from Ministry of Health collaborated with consultants of pediatrics, rheumatology, and dermatology from RC Shams October to provide free consultations and medicines to patients.

Opthalmic convoy with free Cataract Operations at Mansouria
Our club RC 6 October Shams organized an ophthalmic convoy for Mansouria area local community. Maghraby foundation provided the equipment and the doctors and will perform cataract operations for the 30 patients who have been found to need it worth 150,000 pounds. The convoy took place on the premises of Nahdet El Mansouria for Development whose participation will be to help provide glasses to those unable to pay. All in all 206 patients were checked that day.
