Twelve club members attended the D2451 Rotary Foundation Seminar and the Centennial Celebration at Sofitel Cairo.
The guest speakers at the event included DG Mayan Raslan D2451, Dr. Gamal Sami , Fayoum Governor and Dr. Ahmed Radi, Minister of Health & Population Two club members were keynote Speakers in the event: PDG Mohamed Delawer, Chair D2451 Committee Chair and RI Peace Fellowship Committee Member and AG Tarek Omar, TRF D2451 committee member.

The club was honored with DG Dr. Mayan Raslan' s visit. Club President Hussein Makram shared a very impressive presentation on club strategic plan together with club structure. Each Club Committee Head presented the strategic goals of their committees together with the achievements. The Club President's professional presentation was acknowledged by the District Governor as one of the best presentations she came across during her visits to the different rotary clubs

Our club hosted Dr. Nadia Beshay, specialized in Humanitarian and Behavioral Sciences, Boston University and the Director of Executive Training Programme at the Egyptian Government Leadership Institute. The main topic of the presentation was focused on ways of dealing and interacting with the less privileged community to whom rotarian service is directed and to whom rotary community service projects are directed.

A day to appreciate and cherish our unique Egyptian heritage and vintage traditions. Rotary Club of 6th of October Shams organized a trip to Abdeen Palace, the most famous palace in Egypt.The palace was built in 1863 under the order of Khedive Ismail, and was named after Abdeen Bec who owned the land and whose widow bequethed the property freely on condition the palace would bear her husband's name.
. He also explained their role in providing well priced and affordable treatment to Egyptian nationals through their organized campaign.
